Guest guest
Since we are talking about reducing medicines, I have a question: I was diagnosed in November 2009, have been steroid free since June 2010 (I started on Prednisone and then switched to Entocort, stopped that in June 2010) and have been on Azathiprene 175mg. I am now on a reduction schedule from the Azathioprene, I reduced to 150, did lab work after 4 weeks, they were perfect, reduced to 125, have lab works scheduled in 4 weeks and if they are perfect, I will reduce to 100mg and that should be my new target dose. I weigh 200 lbs. Any experience with that, any recommendation? This is under the supervision of my gastroenterologist and hepathologist. Guest guest
I started 100mg of Azasan in 2008 for the liver disease. I also have myocytis (muscle disease) so I take an additional 50mg of Azasan. I've been having re-current UTI's every month so my gastro dr took me off the 150mg of Azasan completely in January of this year. So far my liver levels are stil in the 20's. but UTI's are still coming every month. I don't take any other meds except for 300mcg of Synthroid. I put myself back on 50mg of Azasan because of the muscle disease .. ________________________________ From: Sabine <ssmith27@...> AIHep ; Sent: Fri, March 11, 2011 9:10:03 AM Subject: [ ] Reducing Azathioprene  Since we are talking about reducing medicines, I have a question: I was diagnosed in November 2009, have been steroid free since June 2010 (I started on Prednisone and then switched to Entocort, stopped that in June 2010) and have been on Azathiprene 175mg.
