Guest guest
Hi Group, I thought some of you might find this info of interest. I took Elliot to the P.R. today - he seems to be doing better . ESR is down to 35. Interestingly enough he developed a synovial cyst at his wrist (who wrote about that last week?) The doctor says that if he still has it or it has grown by our next visit in 3 weeks he will give a cortisone injection, but Elliot otherwise is doing well. Regarding ENBREL, the patient before us, who has been on Enbrel since July, should have been taking 1/4 cc injection, and the father never read the box, and has been giving the full 1 cc (adult dose). There have been no adverse side effects and the lab results for her were okay! The P.R. was telling me that while he would never recommend 4 times the recommended dose, these errors are how we learn more about the drug, and he says treatment in the future will likely be a cocktail of medications (one of them Enbrel). Best regards. Rena
