Hello Jana,

Greetings from Sun Valley!

Charlie is doing very well. He is completely symptom-free and weaned off

the ibuprofen. He's running around the house, up and down the stairs,

climbing up the couch and jumping off the back of it. He spent two hours at

the park today, swarming all over the playground equipment. Unbelievable.

We were referred to a pediatric rheumatologist in Salt Lake City who is

apparently booked weeks in advance. We talked to his nurse, describing

Charlie's current status, and she said that they don't want to see him when

he's not sick....we're going to have his records sent to their office so

that if or when he does flare again, we will be able to get in more

quickly.

I've been continuing to lurk on this list, interested to read about others'

experiences, storing up information for a later date that I hope never

comes. I feel guilty posting something so positive when so many others are

having such difficult experiences.

Hi Joy,

Don't feel guilty, it is terrific that Charlie is doing so well! We all

are all happy when any child on this list is doing well! Your

plan to have a pediatric rheumatolist lined up is a good one,

it will save you the doubts you would have with Boise doctors

if Charlie has trouble again. Good luck to you and Charlie!
