Guest guest
Well... today has been a very busy and emotional day for us. We took Kelsey to her pediatrician today and she has another urinary tract infection. She just got over one at the end of May, and now its back She is taking Cefzil this time. Her doctor ordered some tests to make sure there isn't something underlying causing it. We go Tuesday to have an ultrasound done and another test that will consist of putting dye through a catheter into her bladder, checking for reflux. (I don't know the correct terminology!) Needless to say this has me scared to death. I think I remember reading about someone else having the reflux problem??? Also, I talked to her rheumatologist today about some of her joints flaring again. She said it could very well be due to the infection, but to give the antibiotic a few days to clear up the infection and if she wasn't any better by Wed. to call her back. The Naprosyn has helped a lot, but she said it may be time to go ahead and add another medicine, I believe she said Tolectin? (however that is spelled! lol) She said it was in pill form and we would have to crush them. Anyone have experience with this medicine? I am trying real hard to keep a positive attitude and be thankful we have good doctors. I know things could always be worse. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Take care,
