Guest guest
Sigh........ Mind you, I am very well known for being highly tolerant and a peacemaker. I do not like physical vil\olence but i am nearing my limit. After reciting a letter from the Rheumatologist clearly detailing how bad Skylers situation is, after repeating verbaitum the words of the Hemotollogist " You need to request a BOARD CERTIFIED PEDIATRIC RHEUMATOLOGIST " , after determining that there is NO Dr. who specializes in Pediatric Rheumatology IN THE STATE OF ARIZONA, our contact at the insurance company has taken it to the highest level. The senior medical advisor or some such lable. Guess what this genius tells us? " There is no such thing as a Board Certified Pediatric Rheumatologist " " You will just have to use the referal located in Tucson, Dr. So n so " Our current Rheumi tells us this will do no good as this fellow has no reputation and is not a specialist. He will simply go through the same steps, burning up more time as Skyler becomes seriously damaged from this inane disease! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGHHH!!!! I am gonna frikken kick someones A$$$$ I stayed up all night Friday night and Saturday night with a child having 106 degree fever, stills rash on 90% his body, wracking pain in all limbs, joints, back and now the head! He is on All the most effective and potent meds at what the Dr. sais is the highest possible dosages; He isnt eating well, is seriously Anemic and iron deficient, his hemoglobin is dropping a point every week and is down to " 6 " , He hasn't grown in 6 months and is recognized as one of the most serious cases seen by all our Dr's and these Insurance BUTTHEADS are playing games with us, stalling and possibly jeopardizing my boy. I am really starting to feel postal here folks. Sorry for the raving but I gotta take this out somewhere or I may start breaking things. Skyler is barely able to walk, his right knee is so week and painful it keeps collapsing on him resulting in searing pain. He can no longer use his right hand to do more than balance himself and he has to lie down about 90% of the day. I am now noticing his knee joints visibly shifting inward. He requires massage for a few hours every night and an hour in the morning. The stress has seriously affected my job and I had to withdraw my bid for a permanent position due to fumbling on remedial tasks. This will be the third this year. What do we have to do to get proper attention here? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! DAmn I really want to cuss them out. Please bear with me. I will update you all soon. Tonight I have to work untill 3 or 4 am to try desperately to make a deadline that was due last Wednesday. Lts see if I have any brains left tomorrow. [ & Skyler] Re: [sD] Skyler update > I am so glad that you are finally getting some where and hope that > skyler starts doing better my thoughts and prayers are with you and your > family and that you will find the right DR that can help him > > Love, > >

Guest guest
, You certainly have every right to be mad, I know I would be too. You just need to stand your ground, fight this until you and Skyler win no matter what it takes. I would be consulting a lawyer or something, I know that takes money but most of the time lawyers will give you a free initial consultation, where you can find out what you can do. It really gets me how insurance companies have the power to over ride what the doctors order. I can't believe they can actually get away with it. I hope things start working out soon. There is no reason Skyler should be suffering so badly, and you're right about the insurance company making you all wait around is causing more harm to Skyler. They are putting your son's life at risk, and something definitely should be done. I wish I knew what to tell you to do, but all I do know to tell you is to keep fighting and demand your son get the proper care. Best of luck,
