Rena,

What did your Dr. say about Cyclosporin?

Skyler is on this now and I am curious about others experience with it.

Re: Re: blood help

Hi everyone. I wanted to respond about the bone marrow transplant issue. Elliot's previous rheumy had suggested it at one point, he had one child who had severe jra and after 10 yrs and numerous joint replacements( and severe disease ongoing) it was the next option. I believe he did well. Bone

Hi ,

I haven't been checking in regularly so I apologize that this response took

so long. Elliot has been on cyclosporine since last December, and while he is

doing well now I'm not convinced that it is from cyclosporine. It has taken

him a long time to get off the prednisone( which we are grateful to be free

of at this time) and there were no dramatic changes in his bloodwork which

would lead me to think that the drug is helping. Elliot has had no adverse

effects from neoral ( he doesn't like taking it as the smell/taste is bad)

Now that Elliot is off prednisone I had hoped that the Dr. would taper the

neoral or the mtx, but the Dr. is cautious and weaning him off naprosyn first

-just in case the immunosuppressants are what allows for good health at this

time.

Given all Skyler has been through I hope this gives him good results. Good

luck. Rena

Thanks Rena.

We are now starting Naprosyn and halfway down the Pred tapering schedule.

We hope to reduce MTX and remove Enbrel once off the pref.

Hope all is well with you.
