Guest guest
<<Does anyone know the name of a pharmacy in Tijuana that sells Tinidazole. I have called several and they have no idea what I am talking about. Thanks, >> My experience is that you can obtain the drug through pharmacies in the U.S. who will do compounding. Guest guest
Hi Ron You asked me to keep you posted about the antibiotic treatment for my daughter Katy aged 13 She started on the antibiotic Minomycin about 2 months ago. It doesn't completely take the pain away but certainly helps a lot. It especially helps with the pain in her fingers and toes but doesn't help as much with the headaches or pain in the knees. I have now discovered she has sinusitus so the headaches could also be part of this. Like some of the other postings here she is worse by late afternoon and evening. She also finds it hard to keep away from the sweets and she knows these cause an increase in the pain and inflammation. I heard an interesting thing about depression. The pineal gland has a part to play. If not enough light is present(such as in Northern European countries which have the 'midnight sun') then depression can result. Also, if not enough deep sleep is received depression can result. Anyone in a lot of pain such as people with PA definitely don't get this deep sleep so would be suffering from depression. There is some type of light therapy which is meant to help with this but I have yet to discover what it is. Maybe someone here has heard of it? Guest guest
I use full-spectrum lighting to treat Seasonal Affective Disorder. Sunbox Company http://www.sunbox.com/ is where I got my lights. Now there are lots of companies that sell them. Our nurses station at the hospital has them to help the night shift get enough sunlight. I have my sunbox beside my computer at school. During the winter months, I turn the light on while I check my e-mail and lesson plans for the day. If it has been cloudy for a few days, or I have a lot of fatigue, I use it again during my plan period. Headaches can definitely be a symptom of depression. You feel like going somewhere dark and hiding away--which actually worsens the condition. I can sympathize with your daughter's sweet tooth. In fact, food is a huge source of comfort to me and I know losing weight would greatly help my condition. It's bad enough to have this disease as an adult, I feel really sorry for the kids. Guest guest
I'd like to suggest that everyone shorten their messages. So much of each digest is just a regurgitation of the last one. It is hard to find the "meat" of things. I just keep scrolling and scrolling. Do we really need to send a nine-paragraph repetition in order to respond to someone? Just a suggestion. Guest guest
We've never dealt with an active CMV or EBV infection, but one of my nids kids had elevated EBV at intake, while the other two had elevated CMV--all sets of high titres due to an activated immune system, not evidence of an actual infection, according to Dr. G Kate
