Guest guest
Hi all! Well, it has gone fabulously so far. The procedure was at about 11am yesterday. They aspirated 80cc of fluid (that's nearly 3 ounces!!!) and injected the steroid without difficulty. The rheumy used a different steroid this time due to the de-pigmentation and atrophy caused by the one used last time. I wish for the life of me I could remember the name of the one used yesterday, because I wanted to read about it, but I guess I was kinda anxious at the time cuz I've totally spaced it. Anyway.....she was Miss Grouch coming out of the anesthesia, but was immediately alert and STARVING. Today she's on the couch and I'm her slave. She's starting back on all her meds after having been discontinued during that bout with the chicken pox. I feel confident and I love it! Hope all is well with everyone! P.S. LIZ...you asked a long time ago about why we're considering VA Beach. My fiance was stationed in Norfolk when he retired early 2 years ago. He has some wonderful friends there, and we could take advantage of all the military benefits (the exchange, commissary, etc.). We live up here in sticksville, and we're ready for a change. I found VA Beach to be urban, but family oriented. How far away are you?
