Guest guest
If as 20/20 says that toxic mold is not a real problem and just use bleach then maybe they would like to see a report from the Insurance company that is fighting me tooth and nail for a problem they let happen. I will type what the report says of my home, a company they hired to test my home. Executive Summary....Spotts, 's and McCoy, Inc. (SSMC's) professional opinion is that an individual with respiratory problems should not reside in the house located at 149 Kenwood Drive Levittown, PA under current conditions. This recommendation is based upon the air samples that have identified fungi spores present that were not found in the outdoor samples. The types present indicate a moisture problem. Evidence of water leaks were noted in the master bedroom and Florida room. SSM recommends an engineering study be conducted to identify any areas of water infiltration into the building envelope. In addition, the dwelling should be professionally cleaned using proper equipment and techniques to capture and remove fine particulate that contains allergens. The purpose for the investigation was to assess the habitability of the dwelling in regard to mold contamination. It is important to note that the owners of this dwelling have a six year old daughter with medical condition that results in respiratory difficulties. This consideration is critical in providing recommendations on habitability. An environment that would be acceptable to the general population may not be acceptable for individuals with respiratory problems or suffer from immune suppressive disorders. It goes on to list all the different toxic molds found in our home that we have been out of for 2 years but even after the Insurance company got this report from their own company they hired they are still fighting and not paying. But I guess what I want to say to 20/20 that if this is not a problem then why can I not live in my house with my little one and just fix with bleach? Oh and the cost to clean up this problem is $41,000 to remove the mold not including the cleaning of items that might be able to be saved, that is $6,000 and the trailers they have to put outside of the home to take away my contents is extra and then the cost to rebuild the damage taken out is $110,000. My home value is $150,000. Then we have the problem of the chemicals they have to use to remove the mold due to they cannot tell me it is safe for her to be near after they clean my home. destineesangel
