Guest guest
http://wkbn.com/Global/story.asp?S=952123 Business Fears Mold The owner of B and B computers says his business was doing quite well in Hubbard that is until he started getting sick. Blaire owns B & B Computers. " My father and I came into the shop after being sick for a week and found something growing in the toilet. That's when we decided to look for something else. " When Blaire first decided to inspect the basement just below his computer store he was shocked at what he found. A white substance that appeared to be mold coating the walls - a substance that he feels could have been causing him health problems. " My Dad comes in to cover the phones when I can't be in the shop. So, one week I'd be okay, then I'd get sick. It was repetitious, as soon as I got better he was getting sick. " Just a few hundred yards from the back of the store is the Hubbard Police Department, a facility that recent testing shows does house certain toxic molds. That's why Blaire says he's concerned this problem could be bigger than people think. " It's in my basement here which is just a little building in Hubbard, but there are a lot of old tunnels that run through here. If it's airborne it's going all the way through town and that's what I'm afraid of. " Blaire says he's been in contact with the Trumbull County Health Department and hopes they will test the building in the near future. " Whatever the problem is or whatever is causing the problem we want it taken care of so no one else has to go through what we went through. " First News spoke off camera to one of the people who rents the space to Blaire. They tell us there have been many long time businesses that rented office space in the building, and none of them have ever complained of a problem. No word yet on if the building will be tested.
