Guest guest
You all were very helpful when we were having some problems with my daughter, 's, knee. It turned out she had a congenital defect in her knee joint and is doing well after surgery. What I'm asking about now, is my 2 year old son. He was born with a congenital heart defect called coarctation of the aorta. Basically it's his aorta is constricted which causes a blockage to his blood flow to his lower body. He cries a lot with his legs hurting at night, but we've always attributed it to his heart problem and low blood pressure to his legs. He has periodic fevers all of his life, he's had to have ear tubes. 2 months ago he had a terrible sore throat with high fevers. They gave him zitromax and as soon as it was gone the sore throat was back so they gave him cepax and that did the trick. Lately at night he's been crying his right knee hurts. I don't see any signs of swelling, but he has limped on it a day or two. Saturday night he threw a temper tantrum and ended up vomitting, not too unusual as he also has reflux, anyway, when I stripped him down to put him in the tub, he was bright red. On his buttocks and neck, arms, shoulders. Maybe hivy looking but more like a bright deep red sunburn. It didn't last a real long time. But later that night he started running a temp that peaked at 105 degrees. He's still running a temp and all dr can find is fluid on his ears and yucky nose. From reading this with , it brought to mind the JRA/stills rash, so I'm kinda panicking. I never thought about it with him, never even entered my mind, but could it be possible?? Can the rash come and go that fast?? I do have digital pictures if someone would like to see. Thanks for reading this book. I hope you can set my mind at ease and tell me it just doesn't work that way. Hugs to you all!!! Tina mom to 13(doing well after knee repair) Becca 11, Hondo 9 (believe it or not awaiting gallbladder surgery) And Adam 2, coarctations of the aorta, reflux.
