hi janet,

i was referred to an allergist/immunologist dr herman in

sacramento....before anyone even knew about toxic mold....

but as i was seeing him i showed him a piece of moldy

sheetrock that was in my kitchen.....i didn't even

know anything about toxic mold..just that i was fighting

my landlord over the moldy smelling cabinets in my kitchen!

i thought i was doomed with lupus (i had disc shaped rashes that

lasted 2 yrs but dissappeared within a week of being in a motel)

dr herman tested us for antibodies and i educated myself and

was surprised at all the coincidences i had with people in the

same situation. this was 2 yrs ago almost.

my attorney had me seen by a sceptical allergist that tested me for

80 something allergens.....i didn't react to anything..as i knew i wouldn't.

i've never been allergic to anything....and my symptoms don't seem to

be an allergic response...i think it's a toxic response. so i don't know that

mask wearing or filters will help me...?

i'm sorry you've gone thru so many losses due to toxic mold....and were

treated so badly by your ex.....it amazes me how callous people still are

about this.......but i see the financial and political implications....and know

first hand there are landlords that will do whatever they can to save a buck

even ruin peoples lives, health, mental health..ect.

Dear , I am so sorry. My heart breaks, as I am doing what you are but with a little help from friends. Can you Primary Care doctor refer you to an Evniroinmental Dr? You notice I didnt say allergist. They are tough on belaying in this. I had a good ENT who did but Federal Workman's Comp wont believe him as he is ENT. I live with air filters, wear a 3m mask outside, live on inhalers for asthma I never had before, got thrown out oof boyfriends as he couldn't understand changes need for this and I wasn't fun anymore.
