Guest guest
I am looking for information on fungal infections in the body. Specifically one that started as a scratch & grew into a large abcess, in spite of large antibiotic use, & had to be surgically removed. Any information or links? Thankyou
Guest guest
Funny. I reported this increase to the CDC five years ago and the director of the mycotic diseases branch, Dr Arvind Padhye, told me that he could not act on my information without the corroboration of a doctor. When I told doctors that it was their responsibility to recognize that mucocutaneous candidiasis does not occur in immunocompetent individuals and that the candida infections were a sure sign of a fundamental pathogenesis, they balked at involving themselves and risking their careers by reporting an epidemic. " It's not my responsibility. It's the job of people higher up " . So there you have it. The CDC is waiting for the doctors to report an epidemic. The doctors ae waiting for the CDC to report to them that there is an epidemic. And the patients wait for the doctors and the CDC to figure out the obvious. Kinda like the fact that all the insurance companies, all the media, all the enterpreneurial remediators, all the snake oil salesmen and air filter purveyors have figured out that mold is hurting people. Why, everybody seems to know by now. That is, everybody except the doctors. - Should have been the first but are always the last to know. Bizarre indeed. -
