Guest guest
Hi! I just completed reading various comments about last night's 20/20 and agree. I was shocked by how mold was trivialized. When the anchor said he'd cleaned up his mold with bleach and that was the end of it. Was it the end? Did he sell or rent the house to some unsuspecting family without disclosing the mold history of the home? I think everyone should look at who the advertisers were and what other companies ABC is linked to, besides Disney. I know people are really sick. I have never had respiratory or allergy problems before having a defective home and mold. My daughter, previously very healthy, has developed asthma and other problems. The story suggested stress over potential (but not real) problems was the real problem causing illness. Stress is a real problem, but we are stressed over the illnesses and what the long-term prognosis for our families will be. Not to mention the financial stress of the legal fees, etc..., to deal with this issue. How many of you were sick before you discovered your mold? Does ABC feel Ed McMahon is "faking" his mold problems for money? Does Brokovich also fall into that category? The bottom line: This story was a slap in the face to everyone suffering due to mold-related illness. I agree with the other writers and encourage everyone to blast ABC for this irresponsible piece of news(?). I'm sure I join many of you in offering my home to ABC for a visit. However, I'd make sure they sign a release of liability before entering.
