Guest guest
I also went to ABC.com , then to 20/20's web page, then to their place where they say that they want to hear from us and sent them an e-mail. I pointed out the flaws in their reporting. The CDC's report is a statement about " The state of the science of mold, " not the effects of mold. It's overall message is that more study is needed when it says that connections between memory loss and mold exposure have not been proven. It in no way says that there is no connection, just that it hasn't been studied yet! It hasn't been disproven either! And yes, the mold claims in Texas have skyrocketed. How many times in recent years has Texas suffered major flooding!!!? They forgot to mention that piece of the puzzle!. I also noted that in addition to the spotty journalism, the editorializing afterwards was appallingly unprofessional and uncompassionate. To laugh at anyone who has lost everything including their health, whatever the cause, is inhumane and I demanded an apology. No one would laugh at a cancer patient taking chemo to try to kill the things growing in him even though that very treatment is destroying his body in the process. Everyone admires people who make such sacrifices and take such risks for their health's sake. Why then would you scoff at those who have destroyed their homes to rid themselves of what is making them sick ? Is it not more noble than cleaning with bleach and selling it? Should they not be considered heroes to have made such a sacrifice for their own health and that of others? I encourage you all to write also and demand an apology if not a retraction. Thanks, nn
