Guest guest
Janet Your work area seems to be some of the older reinforced bunkers used in the pre-world war II, era. I'm not sure what type work you perform, but understand what you are encountering. The buildings that I think you having to deal with I have worked in, and luckily a hurricane made the final decision regarding its remediation. It took along time for management to concede and we were spread hitter and yonder to keep up with the requirements of the contract. The Porthsmouth group is caught in a bad position, and as it looks they will use every opportunity to let you self destruct. I would recommend that you get as healty as possible while your on the administrative leave, and recommend that the same temp, humidity levels air quality levels in your office at work, but provided through hepa filter, portable air conditioners, heaters, external vented fresh air, like what is porvided on the ships under construction. I would recommend going back to work in the best healty possible, and try and keep a low profile nursing yourself as best as possible on the job. Disability may not be allowed if you are found to be able to work at alternat loctions. I know its a tricky and difficult. The Union has to show face value that the members are getting their money's worth, but they have to also satisfy the employer. You can always leave, or go on disability, but if you keep your postion they are still obligated to provide you a safe workplace. There was a young drafts women that went with her supervisor to a ship when is was being cleaned with an air hose. She was asmatic and went to the hospital about to die from affixiation. The company wanted to say it was not work related for insurance. Luckily her father in-law was within the internal politics and litterly raised Hell. Its not work putting your life on the line, but they way they get rid of person in your situation it either get you to quit, or put you or permanent disability then denie the bennefits.
