Guest guest
http://www.wtnh.com/Global/story.asp?S=1028930 & nav=3YeXCcVR Salem school stays closed in search for cause of rash (Salem-AP, Nov. 27, 2002 5:24 AM) Salem school officials were no closer to finding an answer yesterday to what is causing children to suffer from a rash. Officials have begun preparing for classes in other buildings if they do not believe the school is safe next month. The board decided yesterday to cancel classes Monday. Classes were canceled this week after 56 students reported rashes and breathing problems. Seventeen were taken to hospitals, but their conditions improved and none were admitted. Classes may be offered in other buildings, such as the Congregational Church, the town fire halls or the Connecticut Army National Guard's Camp Rowland in East Lyme. Air samples will be taken, particularly from ceiling tiles suspected to have mold.
