Unhealthy Conditions for DE Residents

Marshallton, Del.- November 19, 2002 - Residents at the Village of Red Clay

apartment complex in Marshallton, Delaware say their units are making them

sick and they say mold and raw sewage is to blame.

Take a look at the moldy mess inside this apartment.

says complaints about mold in her bathroom and raw sewage leaking

from a toilet above, have been ignored by the management. Elsmere, Del./LAST

MONTH:

fears residents living in the 96 units here will end up like the

hundreds of renters in Elsmere who were forced out of their apartments last

month because of mold.

/RESIDENT:

" I don't want to put everybody out in the street like that but they better

start fixing up this place because that's what's going to happen. "

The management of the Village of Red clay refused to comment to Action News.

State and county officials says they're taking a look at conditions at the

apartment complex.
