-Hi ,

THank you for your reply, I have a phone call to the dr. and he

should call me back on Monday, His surgury for the adnoid removel is

scheduled for August 27th. So We will see what the Dr. says. Jack

could not breastfeed but could such from the bottle with severe

spitting up until he was 1yr and off the bottle. Hmmmmm milk allergy

I think, Jack will not even go near milk at all. JAck can chew but

tends to overstuff his mouth, (Sensory) Jack has never seen a

neurologist for his speech so never went that route. He did go for

his brachial plexus but feel at this point that a neurologist might

be a good idea.

Thanks,

Eileen

Subject: Re: [] an 8 year health mystery..maybe related to sick building?...

Janet,I have not seen any other postings either. I thought the website had been lost from me.I have had the same symptoms as you and . I also noted a trend of illness that began when I started working at this hospital 5 years ago. Last Spring I saw an Environmental Doc who filed an L & I claim for me. Naturally, the hospital's private insurer did not want to pay for any of this so I was sent see an independent medical examiner last month. I went with ALL of my records, documents and pictures. I received a copy of his findings the other day. I have always been sensitive to "hayfever" and have had seasonal rhinitis and burning eyes but nothing like the horror that I have endured at work for 5 years. The Doc admitted that my exposure to the molds in the workplace exacerbated my condition also I had an exposure to Methylmethracrylate( bone cement) used in total joint surgery in the OR. He stated that a person with sensitivities such as I have would react to these exposures. Because I moved out of the exposed area and finally made the OR use a closed system to mix the bone cement the Doc stated that I have no further restrictions. Does not matter much now as I found a new job and finished there on Friday. At least he admitted that exposure to mold and unhygienic conditions caused my problems. Many others are still sick at work. I just pray that I will begin to get better.Since I moved out of the contaminated locker area last May I have started to get better. My latest echocardiogram is normal. No more mitral or tricuspid prolapse. My skin testing done by the Independent med.examiner showed only 2+ allergy to Alternia and histamine. Three years ago I had a 4+ reaction to four molds which were identified in the locker area a year later. My pulmonologist is happy because he states that this indicates that I am beginning to detoxify and get rid of the crap in my body now that I am not under the toxic dump in the locker room.By the way,Janet,I just returned from New England. My mother died the day after New Years. She had been in a Nursing Home in Portsmouth. I was staying with my sister's family in Topsfield,Mass. so had been doing the highway hop for a few days prior to her death. Unfortunately, my sister, niece and sister-in-law smoked nonstop which made me ill. I ended up going to a motel the last few days and have been sick with sinusitis, otitis, and bronchitis since my return last Monday. Lot of snow, ice, cold etc.I have not been back to New England in the winter in 10 years.EileenFAIR USE NOTICE:This site contains copyrighted material the use of which has not always been specifically authorized by the copyright owner.
