Guest guest
Al since i've been on Vioxx i have experienced more horsenees and some noderate loss of voice, but never total loss! Over the past 12 years i have experienced more neck involvement. More than 90% loss range of mation. Prior to taking Vioxx i don't recall periodic horseness of loos of voice. Except for after a School wrestling match when i yelled so long through out the match, that I loss my voice. Was only able to speak in a very soft whisper after several days. Which wasn't good because!, I was playing Santa Claus in the Christmass Play! But good luck and have a great time at the conference! Off and on for the past several years I have dealt with an occasional bout of Laryngitis. However, during the past two months it has become very severe with a complete loss of voice most afternoons. Strangely enough, the latest severe onset coincides with my starting a higher dose of Vioxx. I have no idea if the two are related. I have never been diagnosed with Cricoarytenoid joint(Larynx)involvement, but I must admit I have not see a Rheumy in many years. I have recently been diagnosed with Basilar invagination or cranial settling which may be contributing to a never/Larynx problem. I know this is a detailed question, but if anyone has experience or can point me to a source to explore that would be a great help. I have learned that if I am prepared before I seek medical help that I get better results. Thanks....aL P.S. I am resting my voice for the upcoming AJAO Conference. Guest guest
Rusty, What is your current dosage for Vioxx? I am currently taking 25mg daily. I think I will cut back to 12.5mg for a few days to see if my symptoms subside a bit. The Vioxx has helped with the headaches associated with the neck problems, yet may have contributed to the laryngitis problem. You know how it goes, relieve one syptom and create two more. Have you had any experience with Celebrex(sp?)? I tried it a few years ago and immediately turned a bright shade of red in the face and felt like a light-bulb. aL > Al since i've been on Vioxx i have experienced more horsenees and some > noderate loss of voice, but never total loss! Guest guest
I find it interesting that you are taking Methotrexate and Naprasyn as well as Vioxx. How active is your JRA? I spent many years not taking any medication at all except Tylenol(a big mistake and another story). Looking back now I see that I should have at least took a low dose of NSAID. I believe the inflammation in my neck lead to my current problems. I do not have swollen, red, inflamed joints, but hidden beneath the surface my Neurologist say that inflammation in my cervical spine is causing the neck problems and put me on Vioxx. What about stomach problems? Have you had any related to the meds? Have you, or do you take prednisone at all? aL > > Al since i've been on Vioxx i have experienced more horsenees and > some > > noderate loss of voice, but never total loss! Guest guest
Not sure whether you mean the e-book or the text lessons. The link to load the e-book is on the home page. Just click on the picture of the book. The opening text lessons on testing are here: http://immunics.org/00_connect/1_accessing/tocls_3.htm This link is in the table of contents of lessons. It is also in one of the welcome letters you get when you join the CureDrive. > > Cannot find the link to download the textbook... > > Thanks, > Marla Galan >
