Toxic mold suspected in sick school

SALEM -- Toxic mold may be to blame for the mysterious rash that's shut down

the Salem School. The school will be closed through the end of the week

because two dozen students have been struck with the rash.

An industrial hygienist believes mold may be to blame for the problems. But

that is still just a theory.

Eyewitness news was in Salem last night as school and health officials met

to talk about the problem with students and parents.

Lincoln\Salem parent: " They don't have a real good handle on it yet.

They're looking pretty hard. I guess they're doing everything they possibly

can. "

The school reopened Monday morning, but then closed again quickly. 17

students were sent to the hospital Monday with signs of the mysterious rash.
