General newsletter 20 December 2002.

1. Database to be reindexed next week in preparation for 2003.

Please comment.

2. Newsletter timing to be altered.

3. Discussion forums- keep them or not?

4. Research progress.

5. Christmas Greetings.

6. New Resources this week include:

1. The Chemical Survivors' Foundation searchable database is to be

reindexed next week in preparation for the New Year's content

(2003). It contains information relevant to chemical intolerance &

related chronic fatigue conditions.

Your comments on the content and directory structure of the present

database would be extremely useful prior to this procedure being

started. What do you think should be included (or omitted) next

year? If you have time, and feel well enough, please get in touch.

Please remember, also, that you can add links to your own support

groups, or to information that you have found on the internet

(moderated).

2. The timing of the regular weekly newsletter is being altered to

(every) Friday. It includes links to some of the newest information

available. IF you think it would be useful to have the newsletter

forwarded to this discussion group, please ask the moderator to get

in touch and arrange it. It will not automatically be forwarded.

3. Discussion forums- these are not proving a success, lots of

people are looking but very few are posting. My intention is to drop

the system in the New Year- unless you have any comments to the

contrary?

4. The research survey is doing well and patterns are beginning to

show. (I won't post any information yet because you may not have

completed the survey)

5. A Merry and chemical free Christmas to all of you, and best

wishes for 2003!
