Guest guest
http://www.policyholdersofamerica.org/petition.asp?id=1 I WANT LOWER INSURANCE PREMIUMS AND I SUPPORT HOUSE BILL 5040 A clear message to my U.S. Representative. Protect American families! I strongly urge you to support HOUSE BILL 5040 because it provides safeguards for the American family, worker, the elderly and school children and will curb the number of homes, apartments, offices, nursing homes and schools diagnosed with massive infestations of mycotoxin-producing molds that cause needless damage to health and property. Most important in HOUSE BILL 5040 is the establishment of a FEMA-like insurance pool that would help offset the cost of toxic mold cleanup. This pool allows the liability of toxic mold clean up to shift from the private sector to the public sector. A clear message to State officials. Now there's NO EXCUSE for high premiums! Insurance companies claim mold clean up has caused premiums to increase from 40 - 500% over 1999 rates. I demand a corresponding discount to premiums I pay for property and casualty coverage once HOUSE BILL 5040 is adopted. Insurers have proven themselves inept at self-policing and regulatory action is required, on the state level, to avert a crisis for the American property owner. My support. I pledge my support only to those candidates who prove themselves champions of HOUSE BILL 5040 and lower insurance premiums.
Guest guest
As most of you know, I have asked Congressman Conyers questions about his toxic mold bill before he even submitted it. He has yet to respond to my most basic questions. I want to know how much it will cost taxpayers. I've estimated that it will be in the 70 to 100 billion dollar range. Perhaps this mu8ch a year. Where will the money come from? It still comes from taxpayers and doesn't grow on trees. Is anybody aware that some of what he wants to do involves the Homeland Security Department and FEMA? Also, I can support no legislation that lacks accountability for those that cause or allow Toxic Mold. This bill has no accountability. It sets up a national insurance that taxpayers will have to pay for and lets the insurance companies off the hook. Is this what you really want to have happen? It is like having taxpayers bailout ENRON! His bill also lets local and state inspectors have jurisidction. Aren't many of them why we have a Toxic Mold problem? He also wants to use the results from the Burge hearings to be used. She is a defense witness for the insurance companies. I feel this bill smells just like the toxic mold in my home.I feel there is a better way than what this bill does.
