Just wanted to let all know that I am, again, submitting my bills in Massachusetts. Senator Rob O'Leary will be putting them in for me. He had a constituent call for help with mold and their illness. He asked me to help and I did. Found a doctor and lawyer to help.

My bills are -

My Tort Reform (attached) which will stop the public duty shield that currently protects corrupt local and state inspectors, and the town and state when they know of the corruption and do nothing. It will allow citizens their rights under the 14th Amendment to sue for damages. These crimes are bank and consumer fraud and extortion in many instances.

My Construction Lemon Law (attached) which explains itself.

My Toxic Mold Law (attached) which sets studies and standards for Toxic Mold.

This bill is not about toxic Mold but is something many should think about because to save money the Feds want to deinstitutionalized thousands. Currently in Massachusetts parents of severely handicapped and/or retarded children, like Virginia and I, cannot be paid under government programs to provide any services in our home that without these services we would have to place him in an institution or hospital. By providing these services ourselves, the cost to the government would be about 30 thousand dollars a year, we save the government about 500 thousand dollars a year. We can hire aids to come into our home like we use to. One broke Kenny's leg, another caused Virginia to break her back to save Kenny when the aid let Kenny go in mid air. Another stole our credit cards. Another aid dropped Kenny and busted his teeth (happened in public school) and the teachers denied Kenny going to the nurse or doctor. His mouth was bleeding and his teeth were broken.

My Health aide law will allow parents, guardians and so on to provide Personal Care services for their handicapped and retarded children or parents. Currently I can hire somebody to provide these services that is an illegal alien, has a criminal record or has no experience. I cannot hire a parent to provide care even when they have been trained and certified. President Bush wants to Deinstitutionalize many of our most at risk children and citizens without any support services for them. This will help in Massachusetts. For those parents that have given up work to care for their children and have saved the government hundreds of thousands of dollars, it will pay them like anybody else. As an example, my Wife, Virginia, has cared for Kenny since the day he was born (27 years ago) and gave up her career. She was never paid. She lacks the time under Social Security when she is old enough to collect. This is not fair to her or the thousands of others like her. We need to be a Nation of humanity and caring instead of PROFITS BEFORE PEOPLE.
