Guest guest
" Just for noise " you can use ear protection muffs like the ones they use in construction. They will NOT make clearing your ears harder or easier. VERY IMPORTANT!!! You need to drill small holes in the plastic of each ear piece so the air pressure can go in and out. We drilled two (2) 1/4 " holes in the bottom of each one. They greatly reduce the noise and because they are made to decrease the higher pitch noises you can hear the TV speaker better with them on. Eddie wears his whenever the air is on. Of course, he has decided he is too big for a hood and now wears a mask so he can put them on and off throughout the treatment. Having autism he is very senitive to noises. They only cost about $15.00 and can be use countless times. They can be purchased at any hardware store. We bought ours at Lowes. They are very comfortable too. During our training course we used them. A Military doctor and a commercial diver told us they use them also. Love to all, Rose Manning [ ] Earplanes > Hello. Guest guest
Thank you Lane. Because Nate is Non-verbal, how will I know if they are no longer effective? Will the little white filter in them start breaking up inside the earplug? Or I wont know. Thanks Tammy & Nate
Guest guest
Hi! I personally use the earplanes during my treatments as well as the flight to and from. I use the one pair the whole time ( 25 - 30 dives). I have not noticed a decrease in effectiveness.
