Guest guest
January 27, 2003 Well, we have been robbed again. As I've told you before, we left our home on October 28, 2002 due to the severe Toxic Mold. We left our belongings, clothes and furniture in the home. On December 15, 2002, I returned to our home to get one of my cars and check on the house and our belongings. I discovered our home had been broken into. I called the Barnstable Police and they never filed a report of my complaint. I notified my insurance company and provided them with a list of what was stolen. The total was over 8 thousand dollars. In talking to the police on December 17, 2002, I was informed that our bank had auctioned off the home and the title transfer had taken place on December 16, 2002. In November, the bank had contacted me and asked if I would work with them so they would not have to have us evicted? They didn't want to have the cost and publicity. They mentioned paying me a few months rent for a comparable type home. I said I would listen but they never contacted me again even after I contacted them several times. I also sent letters to the people that bought the home and their Lawyers in Boston. None ever replied. I informed all, to include the banks, that I still had possession of the home and our belongings were still there. When I entered the home on December 15, our original locks were still on the house. It seems somebody had broken in and left through the front door because the front metal and screen doors were unlocked. We had locked them. Our furniture and other things were still there except for what I discovered missing. Today, my homeowner's insurance adjuster called with an update on my claim. He talked to the new owners and they said they now "owned" all of the furniture, clothes, appliances and our other possessions. They said they were renting the house with all of our belongings in it. This means they have stolen from us. Our belongings are worth over 100 thousand dollars. This does not include what was stolen that I reported to the Police and insurance company. The emotional distress that they have caused us is untold. The new owner said they are aware of the mold problems. Seems they have not told anybody they are renting it to with our belongings, clothes and appliances. We need help! We have been robbed by the mold, town, state, banks and the people that have robbed our home belongings and clothes and are renting them. The adjuster said the bank will not talk to them. We have never been served with eviction orders as law requires. The bank has no right to sell our clothes and furniture or children's pictures. They have even stolen our Son's hospital bed that the State of Massachusetts paid for. The are sleeping in our beds, sitting on our furniture, using our food and wearing our clothes and have our children's pictures. Is this RIGHT?
