My previous doctor did not accept any insurance. You had to file on your own.

If you were on a PPO, it worked out ok. I guess that HMO participants were

out of luck! He did not like the politics of the insurance companies

dictating to him how he should treat patients, I am guessing!

So help me understand how this worked- you paid the doc out of pocket and

then billed your own insurnce company? So in other words the doc didn't

deal with the insurance at all, that was your choice/responsibility? Also

curious- if the doc ordered tests or recommended a hospital stay, could you

bill your insurance for that or did you have to pay out of pocket? Also did

the doc have an affiliation with a hospital/ med center or was he/she just

on their own somehow? I'm so curious how this works. I suppose you also had

the choice whether or not to involve your insurance company at all?

Thanks in advance for dealing with all of these questions!

I could be wrong, but it's my understanding that docs are REQUIRED BY LAW to

file insurance. It used to be that they didn't have to file

it, but now they are required to, then bill the patient for the balance.

That is the best policy. Never open an attachment unless you are expecting it, regardless of who it is from. I'll e-mail the sender first, if I'm not sure, and ask what they sent. It's saved my behind more than a couple times.

HI Don and the rest of the group'

I recently have had the awful virus problem. How and where I don't really know. I think my daughter wrote to you and flatcat(?). I have been sick since Easter or before(?) Brain fogs keep me crazy sometimes. What my daughters, who work on computers told me to do is : in the morning turn on your computer and just leave it on all day. It won't hurt it.

Sooo I would get up in the morning and leave my computer on and just read my medical news from the groups. Then all of a sudden everyone was emailing me about viruses I then turned it over to my daughter. Thanks for all your help. I use the VShield virus protector and have now updated it to the max. I sure hope everyone is understanding since I, personally, did not do anything. What an awful experience. I had to twice completely clean out my computer and lost everything on my disks both times. Now I'm sure that I am clean. Once again sorry. It took me so long to clean out the viruses, what a job, that I missed this last virus. LOL

So now I am feeling some better but have had a low grade fever for over a month and my fatigue is awful. I just feel so awful and sick (malaise) all the time. I am now taking laxatives for my high ammonia level and am still looking for a hepatologist in the Philadelphia area. I haven't worked in 2 yrs. and am now on Keystone Mercy and the one dr. I found in land didn't take my insurance. My brain fog is bad today and can't remember the name of hospital. Will write later. My good wishes to everyone ..............cherry Guynee

That's great that you finally rid yourself of the virus. Some of the current ones are quite tough to clean, you have to drop into DOS to delete some files, then go into the Registry to get rid of some entries....pretty tough things for the average person to do.

I'm on my 3rd year of disability. I still have a lot of fatigue problems, along with the typical joint and muscle pain, but it seems to be a little better. One thing with the fatigue is to make sure that it is only the liver that is causing the problem. I had a sleep study done and discovered that I had moderately severe sleep apnea. I was waking an average of 40+ times per hour. I never made it past the very first sleep stage. Never making it to REM sleep was devastating. Now that I use a CPAP, the liver fatigue is almost tolerable! LOL! If you, or anyone else snores, you should insist on having a sleep study. Apnea can be fatal, but is easily treated.

I am a chemically sensitive individual who is trying to find a workplace where I can work. Like the canary in the mines, I still have to try the room out after it has been tested because I am so sensitive. Does anyone know what role the epiglotis plays in your body? When I go into a building, I sometimes feel swelling and tenderness in the epiglotis. The doctor cannot tell me why. Any ideas? Is it an indicator that the environment is not safe for me?

I do that as well. Every room and building they tried to move me to. If I stayed it would get to swelling in the throat and ears. I also am that hypersensitive so they are forcing me to take disability as OWCP doesnt want to help me either. But I do do that. It will seem to swell and get itchy. Usually my first signs of mold are swollen shut painfull right sinus and outside of right ear burns like it is on fire.

Good idea Jane... I've spoken with Dr. O'Shea a few times. He seems

knowledgeable in almost every aspects relating to vaccines, and has

seemingly picked up an interest in biowarfare vaccines. The largest

obstacle I've encountered with his seminars is that they're normally half

way around the country from MI. I also know that he's involved with the

Yurko case giving expertise from vaccine damage/vs. sbs. Good man, and I'm

positive would be very educational if anyone would be able to attend in

their area.

Good Morning MJH,

when is about to have a seizure...we try to distract him..and try to

take his mind off of it...

we get Barney...or one of his favorite toys..and try to get him to focus on

other things...

we ask him , where is Daddy?

Where is Mommy?

I get his phonics toy, and ask him to show me the letters ...I'll ask him to

push the letter K...the letter Y...and we try to get him to spell his name.

Sometimes it works...

sometimes it doesn't.

Then I have also found that it is better if he has the seizure and get it

over with ...cuz sometimes the next one is worse . Longer...and more shaking ,

jerking or twitching.

All I know..Is that I can't wait for the day that he stops having them, cuz I

have really had it!

I am just physically and mentally exhausted.

this has all taken a toll on me.

I'm ready for the nut house.

Have a blessed day!

love

hugs

&

blessings to you and to Charlie!!

Hope he's doing well...HOPE your taking time out for you too.

OXOXOXO

>>> Delores

I am Charlie's SOLE caregiver for almost eight years now since my husband's

death. We have been dealing with his petit mal, gran mal and status seizures

since we adopted him at age six years. Well over thirty years.

THe sound must be loud and sharp and unexpected to break the firing pattern

leading to seizures. Sometimes an unexpected pinch on the arm will have the

same effect. Sudden and unexpected, to fool the brain.

After any seizure episode, he gets Magnesium and vitamin B complex to make up

what was used up during the seizure. The officinalis tincture has

not failed to stop an oncoming seizure. We've been using it for a year plus

now.
