I am Janet s best friend. She forwards all of the emails that she gets from people on the sick buildings site to me. She has met some wonderful people through that site. People who are experiencing the same thing that she is. People who are supportive of each other. People who care. So, when she forwarded your email to me, I was shocked at your attitude. From reading what you wrote, I have come to the conclusion that you have quite a sense of self importance. You said that by not answering your IM, she has missed out on something. You told her that you have talked to dozens of hysterical men and women and have settled them down. You seem to be of the opinion that the world should feel blessed because you are in it. I'm amazed that you haven't single handedly ridded the world of mold and cured everyone! You, sir, are the arrogant one. I have known Janet for 20 years. She is a very sincere, caring and loving person. One thing that she, and I, have developed in the past year is zero tolerance for arrogance, stupidity, and garbage, which you seem to be full of. You would do much more good if you expended as much energy trying to help as you do telling people what a hero you are. Instead of emailing Janet to tell her what you wanted to say, you chose to insult her. I'm reminded of a lot of people who I work with who love to insult people with email, because they don't have to look anyone in the eyes, or listen to them fight back.

I am very sorry about what you and your wife have gone through with this terrible disease. You will both remain in our thoughts as everyone else in this position is. It is tragic that so many people have to get sick because of something that the powers that be, whether government or private companies, refuse to acknowledge.
