Guest guest
Janet, Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I do not post too often but I read every posting every day and you are an inspiration to me more than you will ever know. Thank you for showing me that it is possible to be strong even when day to day life is pure hell. Keep your head up, stay strong and dont give up the fight. I think soon enough the government and the rest of the country will know that we are serious, we are really sick from toxic mold, and that we are not giving up, ever. Sincerely, Mullins Janet, , and Group, As you may or may not remember, I lived in an apartment in Kingfisher, Oklahoma for 3 years. While living in these mold infested apartments, the five month old baby girl that I was raising for a friend passed away from respiratory complications associated with bronchial pneumonia. After several other infants in the same complex were put in the hospital with the same problems, I realized it had to be something in their environment making all of these children ill in the same way. Whatever was causing these illnesses was even affecting the adults, I had been hospitalized 3-4 times with severe bronchitis and full body rashes. I did some research, started interviewing neighbors, and checking out the apartments. We then knew it was the mold. Our apartment management company had the apartments " tested " and showed very vague results. In 24 apartments, they took 19 samples TOTAL. Not very comprehensive. Their testing of my apartment showed aspergillus, cladosporium and other molds, no stachy. My apartment had been the most recently " remediated " , they put in new everything all the way down to the wood base flooring, new padding, new carpet, everything. Out of all the apartments that THEY tested, my showed the least amount of all of the types of mold, so they say mine was the " safest " unit to live in although I was still sick all the time. We did our own testing. Took 95 samples total from 15 units. We owe the lab $5000.00. Our tests show that even in my apartment, being the " safest " unit to live in, has stachybotrys present in samples from ALL areas of the apartment. The bulk samples, the air samples, everywhere. I just found this out 2 days ago. I still have not received a copy of the test results because we have not come up with the money to pay for them, but at least I know now that the tests show that is worse than I even imagined. We should be heading into court soon. I am so ready to hold these people responsible for sitting back and collecting our hard earned money as rent and leading us to believe that it was okay to let our children live in those apartments day after day all the while, knowing what lurked beneath the buildings and in the walls and in the air that our precious children breathed. In my mind and in my heart, I firmly believe that the monsters that do this, whether they be landlords, insurance reps, real estate agents, and all the uninformed or misinformed doctors and other experts that back them up with untrue information; they should all be held responsible and should rightly be sitting in prison with the rest of the liars, cheaters, schemers, and murderers. I will post again when I have another update on our case. Keep up the fight everyone, we are many, we have a loud booming voice, the nation cannot ignore us forever if we are strong enough, loud enough and persistant enough. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you each and every day. Sincerely, Mullins 405-226-7115 Dover, Oklahoma _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your e-mail with MSN 8.
