Guest guest
, Thank you. Did you mention about the water and lemon? I forgot. I think I asked if I just squeeze juice into it. I also use flax SEED ground up on my cereal. I too have to be very careful. Herbs, grains, peanuts...allergic to all of them so am having to be careful when I get the natural thing. I do not want steroids any more. Nystatin is what I had to stop. I would end up worse and in ER. I also drink vitamin C packs and take activated charcoal pills. I was taking magnesium but stopped to see if that was causing numbness in fingers. So hard to tell. We have a very good health store close by. I also take bio product GOOD bacterial pill every night when I go to bed. I am just so reactive all the time. I eat chicken, carrots and special K and scrambled eggs. Additives in hamburg have sent me into quite a reaction. I appreciate the websites and yes, please keep in touch. I was wondering if the natural anti fungal might affect me like the medicated ones. Will any of this stuff affect the Zoloft, Klonopin and Elavil and my inhalers? Thanks again, Janet
Guest guest
Janet, I would recommend you go to the website www.iknowthecause.com - they also have a daily TV show called Your Health. The host Doug Kaufmann talks alot about fungus(mold) illness. I take Bioactive nutrients caprylic acid- it is a natural antifungal(it has no sugar, salt, yeast, preservatives, artificial colors or flavors) ingredients include caprylic acid 650mg and other ingredients:water, glycerin, vitamin E. I just started taking it about a week ago. They have a website www.bioactivenutrients.com. I bought mine from a local health food store. The company (Bioactive Nutrients) will send you a free booklet and it contains other natural antifungals. They also have a small article called Got Fungus? Get Better. My bladder(IC) and vulvar(Vulvodynia) seems to not like supplements very much, so I just try one at a time. They have other companies that make good supplements, you can find at a health food store. Just read the labels carefully and I would start with one that contains only a single active ingredient- olive leaf extract is another good one. Search the net for natural antifungals, look up natural healing for candida etc. I will let you know how I am doing on the caprylic acid. I am also taking nystatin as well. I had a very high candida count in my gut from too many years of taking antibiotics and not replacing with probiotics as well as mold exposure in my environment. AND of course having mold allergies prior to all this didn't help. Good luck and if you consider trying something and have a question let me know. I have been very interested in the natural route, but I am very cautious too. Diet is very important too- I would watch grains esp. corn and peanuts, they are commonly impregnated with fungus(mycotoxins)- I got this information from Journal of American Medical Association. Also watch sugar intake. I hope I can help you and you can help me too. Remember that sometimes an antifungal, even natural can make symptoms worse before they are better. I have been eating romaine lettuce with a good olive oil and garlic. Also flaxseed oil is a good antifungal and has good omega 3 properties ( I would rec. Barlean's- you don't want it to be rancid). I learned about it on the vulvodynia groups. It is refrigerated at health food stores. I am sure they probably have a website. I need to go to the pharmacy and return some movies but let's keep in touch.
