Guest guest
We have all been witness for years now as our dear friend Tom " Mr. Safety " Fox has kindly filled our hearts and minds with fear of the portable chambers. He and our other dear friend, Mr. Hartsoe have been masters at baiting each other while both have nearly suffered strokes while thoughtfully sharing their safety concerns over the use of portable chambers, claiming them to be dangerous and not really FDA-approved. (Even though " I'm-not-in-it-for-the-money " Hartsoe actually approves of portables--as long as he can get paid for them. See http://www.roberthartsoeisadamnliar.com) Good news from our friend Page in Canada. Now FDA has gone and cleared yet another portable--besides the Performance Chamber--yet again granting a 510k clearance through without a single visit with Mr. Safety's precious ASME-PVHO committee review. And now this new portable chamber (The Dive) is not only FDA-approved for mountain sickness, by golly it's approved for all 13 of the UHMS approved indications as well. That means they'll be for sale in Canada too. Such news has burst more than a few capillaries in some old, hard noggins. Why, those other 13 indications require (a) 100% oxygen and ( pressures greater than 1.3 ATA. That means this chamber can be used at pressures greater than 1.3 ATA with 100% oxygen. It's heavily rumored this could mean the end of having to get HBOT in the back of a truck, as there apparently was a recent listing on eBay motors for a former money maker. It's also suspected that travel reservations have been canceled to North Carolina. Even more amazing is another expected drop in prices at a North Carolina mountain. And since The Dive chamber used the Oxyhealth chambers to gain FDA approval, why I wouldn't be surprised if Oxyhealth suddenly applied for and instantly received FDA-approval for their chambers to also be used for those same FDA and UHMS-approved 13 indications. (Did you hear that? Listen. Tilt your ear to North Carolina. Or Canada. Either way, you're bound to hear some more capillaries busting, though the sound could be drowned out by gnashing teeth.) It's feared this news is bound to give some folks a stroke just thinking about the new good-luck scenario for Oxyhealth. However, there's news across the 'net that Mr. Safety and Mr. I'mnotinitforthemoney avoided such complications as they took the news lying down and have been stuck in their own hyperbaric chambers, pondering the future possibilities of Oxyhealth and Performance and the Dive. Just like Laurel and Hardy, as always, we do look forward to hearing from them. I think Mr. Page said it best before: > Cheers, > > Ah, yes.
