Guest guest
There are lots of hyperbaric chambers around the country who are willing to help the vets with TBI.? My website ( www.northstarhbot.com )? has advertised for the past 2 years that we will treat vets of the recent war who have suffered TBI.? There is a huge effort being undertaken to try to get treatment for them.? e Creacy of AAHA is coordinating a project with the wounded warriors charity, and there are other projects in the making.? The nature of the blast injury that these patients have suffered absolutely makes HBOT the best choice. Guest guest
Can you do that? Is there a source to cite for the 8 chambers in Iraq? And for the mechanism of injury (resembling bends)? Second-order hearsay is all I have at the moment. We want to be sure we can back up statements that astonishing. _____ From: medicaid [mailto:medicaid ] On Behalf Of clhmaxwell@... Guest guest
Is there a source to cite for the 8 chambers in Iraq? And > for the mechanism of injury (resembling bends)? So is Tricare paying for the 8 chambers in Iraq? Just curious because that's who we have and are trying to appeal with on Colby's treatments. we are planning on sending in the appeal this week. So more info on that would be great! On a positive note we had a community wide garage sale for colby this last weekend and raised $10,000 which will pay for his next round of 40!!!! I wasn't sure how we were going to get it but we did.
Guest guest
We really did nothing with the VA. The family initiated contact and developed a relationship with someone locally connected with the VA. The HBOT was approved by the VA neurologist. The second round is going to be covered by the local AM vets; when hearing this, one of the members suggested that he would first contact the VA and inquire if they wouldn't go ahead and pay for the second round. That is where we stand right now. If the VA will not pay, the AM vets will (if the AM vets wouldn't have taken the initiative, we would have treated him for free and let the family know this). Feel free to contact me directly below. My brother is a neuropsychologist with the Army starting up a new program, and I am manager and owner of a HBOT clinic in Sacramento, California, and am very interested in exploring ways to get HBOT treatment for vets, especially the large number coming back from the Gulf. There is an advocate in Washington DC named Bill Duncan who is also looking for ways to get studies started and treatments. Thanks in advance for any information you may have Greenhalghmikeg@...
