Guest guest
HI my name is we live in Atlanta GA, my husband is Kent we have 4 wonderful children or youngest is age 4 with: Down syndrome, tetrology of Fallot Repaired (will need new pulmonary valve in 2 yrs) severe left pulmonary stenosis with 2 stents in his LPA, Hirschsprungs Diease with colostomy, Autism, PDD, NON verbal, asthma, seizures and how having syncope episodes for no reason and he on a heart monitor 24/7 because he passes out, and arrests. 2 times so far in a month. None of the Docs have a clue why. Okay so there it all is. My best freind Jim is in the Navy NPN Naval hospital VA,and is a HBOT doc of sorts (I am not good with ranks!) We have talked about HBOT for and both feel it would bennefit him greatly. Here are my questions, has Medicaid in GA, we have BC?BS as Primary and Medicaid 2nd. He also has a MRWP waiver and we are switching to a GAPP waiver for medically fragile children. I need to find out the steps to getting him the HBOT therapy, and where would we go to have it done? Is there a place here in GA? I know the man in charge of this group is from GA so I am hoping he can give me insight. I am working with DReam House for medically fragile children, and we have just devloped a team to help get all he needs and deserves. I am a fire lit under my butt Mom ready to write letters, fill forms and have a sit in to do what ever it takes to help me son. I now have a team of advocates also ready to help me. I can be reached here or on my email off list I am also not apposed to giving my number to someone off line to talk personally. I appriate all this group has to offer and look ofrward to sharing 's progress as soon as we get the HBOT therapy going.
