Guest guest
, I'm so glad the hbot is helping her. I hope you reported the scam to ebay. I think $80 a session is highway robbery for a portable chamber. My prayers are with your husband that he will find work---we went 2 years unemployed and it was very, very stressful. Guest guest
I agree with , $80.00 is a good deal of money for mhbot when a " real " (sorry I don't know how else to describe a hyperbaric chamber) Clinics invest over a hundred of thousand dollars for a single chamber( plus $$$ in renovations to meet fire code regulations) and can offer it for $110.00 - $130.00 ( in many cases) per session in comparison to what a mild hbo chamber costs. Guest guest
80 dollars a session for hbot is a great deal and I'm sorry if you had mentioned this in your post already but I have to ask. Where are you finding it at such a reasonable price? Most facilities do offer mhbot at a lower cost than the higher pressure chambers (ones that can go to 1.5 and higher) but 80 a session is fantastic. ita Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device from U.S. Cellular Re: [ ] Re: hbot in Rome Georgia I agree with , $80.00 is a good deal of money for mhbot when a " real " (sorry I don't know how else to describe a hyperbaric chamber) Clinics invest over a hundred of thousand dollars for a single chamber( plus $$$ in renovations to meet fire code regulations) and can offer it for $110.00 - $130.00 ( in many cases) per session in comparison to what a mild hbo chamber costs. Guest guest
ita---If you took that $80 per session and applied it to the purchase price of a chamber for your home, you could have your own for the price of 200 sessions. The resale on portable chambers is excellent. Plus, with your own chamber, you could do longer sessions, which have been useful for our son. You could even go together with another family and split the cost and have it paid for in 100 session. That's the price of a new chamber----you could do even better on a used chamber. I know there are lots of different circumstances, but I would seriously investigate more economical ways than paying $80 a session for mhbot. Guest guest
Very understandable, however some parents do not want a home chamber right away, that's just reality. They want to try in out for a considerable amount of time first. Especially in a clinic setting where there are trained professionals there to monitor. I am by no means saying that you couldn't purchase a mild chamber for a cheaper price in the long run if you just went out and purchased an 18,000 piece of medical equipment, I was merely stating that 80 was a great price for going to a clinic to do mhbot. Guest guest
Hi, The difference in the chambers are not even comparable. I have been running my center for almost 4 years and the cost comes out to 110- for a session which has 100% oxygen. And I have a MD and DPM on staff. There are many centers that are not out to rip people off. Having trained staff, a safe center, and every thing else as far as overhead goes yes it can be a struggle at times. YET if you go to a center with hard chambers many are run by board certified hyperbaric technologists who are also parents, or Drs that have had this treatment for some one they love, (for 110- I mean) When people find a monopoly and the money is so sweet, well there you have it, no training in the field AND off they go charging 80 bucks with out any overhead per say. As for doing mhbot at home, what would a parent do if something happened? If your a parent doing this at home, please get trained in the use of hyperbaric medicine.
