The Greater Phoenix Chapter of the Autism Society of America is proud to present

the first ever US screening of HEAR THE SILENCE, a British docu-drama that

became one of the most-watched television movies in UK history.  Please join us

for the true story of the public and private aftermath of Dr. Wakefield's

controversial research.

t son plays a mother who learns of the possible connection between

the MMR vaccine and autism when her four-year-old son is diagnosed with the

condition. The film is based on real life stories and features Hugh Bonneville

as Dr. Wakefield, the British gastroenterologist whose research first

suggested a link between the MMR vaccination, autism and bowel disease,

provoking a backlash from the medical community that may ultimately cost him his

medical license.
