Guest guest
Hi , I read your email and was greatly impressed, for what it's worth. Great job, and it was sorely needed, because the two types of ozone generators are clearly different. The ones that emit low levels over a long period of time are in my opinion useless and could cause continual mucous membrane irratation. They just make the air smell a little fresher anyway. Using an air cleaner with Carbon, can do that more safely. However, the Industrial Ozone Generators are extremely effective in controlling molds, but as you also mentioned, they must be used properly or you will damage your lungs and you will feel like you have Pneumonia. I've run into alot of people using the powerful machines that just take them out of the box, turn them on, and not even know what's going on in there until it's too late. Then they learn the hard way that you can't be in the area when it's running, and to give it ample time to work and then bind and become nontoxic. People have killed family pets using them incorrectly. Another important thing is to properly prepare the area for treatment: opening drawers, spreading things out etc. Ozone can work, but not on stuff stacked up. Open books up, and spread the pages open as best as you can. Preparing the area properly beforehand can greatly enhance it's effect. Hang clothes on ropes hung across the rooms. But as you pointed out so well in your post, people have to be educated on the proper was to use ozone generators. They should read the owner's manual and contact the manufacturer for information, and to seek professional advice first before turning on the machine. These things aren't air cleaners, or toys. They should also get an understanding of how these things chemically work. And get "recipes" for how long, how much, for different applications from the professionals & manufacturer. Thank you for your informative and much needed post, .
