Before I start I want to say that I DON"T sell ozone and am not interested in persuading anyone to use it. But I don't like to see people miss informed. I have studied ozone a little and what I am seeing is misinformation being repeated here. I can understand why, it is because the government, as is often the case, is teaching error. For financial gain? I don't know. More likely just ignorance.

From studying medical papers on ozone, this is what I have learned. Ozone does not damage lung tissue. It does however, react violently to toxins in the tissues, and this can cause irritation to the surrounding tissue. If your lungs are free of toxins you can breath ozone without ill effect. So a lung reaction is actually a sign that you are toxic and the ozone is actually helping. But a doctors monitoring would be wise. I would not recommend this to the layperson who has not thoroughly studied it. Dr. Saul Pressman said when he first started working with ozone he would cough and sputter, but as his lungs have gotten cleaned out he can breath it without event. Never the less, he does not recommend people breath ozone unless it is bubbled through something like olive oil. This give you the benefits without the discomfort.

Ozone is oxygen and is no more life threatening than oxygen is. oxygen s o2 and ozone is o3 and that third oxygen molecule is very reactive. Which means it is eager to give itself up to neutralize cooties of all kinds, whether chemical or organic.

When they report high ozone in the air, it is because the air is so freaking poluted that the atmosphere is trying to do what it is supposed to do and neutralize crap with the use of ozone. Ozone is not evil, it is good, and if it wasn't for the ozone in the air, the air would get dirty and stay dirty and we would all be dead. To give ozone alerts is like putting dish soap in dirty water and warning people to watch out for the dish soap in the water.

Ozone is currently being used all over the world to heal people of all manner of illness that would otherwise be considered incurable. It was used in mainstream medicine in the US until the forties when big pharma decided it was working against their plans to heal people with drugs.

You can contact Saul Pressman at ozonetherapy and he will send you a free copy of an e book called "The Story of Ozone" He is a good guy and is one of the worlds top experts on ozone. Lives in Canada.

I am not interested in persuading anyone to use ozone. I just don't like to see misinformation being perpetuated. Ozone saunas are very healing, but can be an unpleasant experience until the toxin levels reduce. Same with ozone insulflation or cupping. Medical grade ozone kills cancer like nobodies business.

It also destroys rubber, so don't run it in the same room with your vcr or other equipment with rubber belts.

Blessings

Angel is right on the topic of ozone. Ozone is an irritant recognized by EPA

and OSHA (ozone has legitimate industrial uses when properly controlled) as

a health hazard when present at levels of 100 ppb in air. It is normally

found in urban smog, produced as a by-product of hydrocarbon contamunation

in the air from unburned motor fuel (a reason to keep your car well

maintained). The source can also be lightening, intense ultraviolet light,

or electrical discharge, as in many ozone generators. Contrary to the claims

of ozone generator manufacturers, all are equally irritating, leading to

lung damage. While ozone may make the air smell fresh, it is still

dangerous. Please read the EPA web page on ozone.

Without elimination of the water problems leading to mold growth, ozone is

a band-aid approach to a serious wound. A dangerous waste of money. Ozone in

high enough concentration to destroy mold may also destroy drapes, carpet,

and upholstery, as well as oxidized some other materials to even worse

irritants.

If you decide to try ozone anyway, use a unit with a timer which shuts off

by itself. Ozone has a half-life of about 20 minutes. So, wait about 2 hours

after going off before entering an ozonated room. Don't expect miracles, and

be prepared for the worst.

Not effective at the levels that it is safe for humans.

Only test it has performed at was for smoke remeidation. Its an UNSTABLE

molecule of oxygen. Oxygen is a bivalent stable molecule weith a bond

angle of 180 when you add the addition oxygen molecule it has an angle of

120 which it is not stable.

Its a respiratory irritant.

Alpine was sued in federal court for misrepsentation, Bill COnverse the

president of Alpine got SLICK and pulled a number. He divided up his

company manufacuring and sales. SO he can not be sued if his little con

artists make unsubstanial claims about the efficacy of 03.

The FTC is still prosecuting sales people who claim its safe, effective

etc.
