Guest guest
Thanks for all your replies. I tried washing my clothes with clorox for colors and it seems to have worked. I am now trying to replace my important documents. My passport got molded, and so are my personal checks, etc. What a nightmare!!! I am trying to fins a new apt. in NYC, so I can be free of mold at last. My health is improving. I think that detox and a good diet helped. Doctors didn't. But I can't even get close to mold or I'll get rashes and feel sick again. I pray that we all get over this soon.

You may remember that I am recovering from lyme disease and years of deep fatigue and I am amazed at how well I am doing with all the packing and whatnot. I attribute much of it to this diet. > > I have been off and on it for a year, but very close to no cheats this spring, so the benefits are definitely increasing, thank you! > > I haven't had a chip of any kind (my last main cheat) for a month and a half. The tidbit that the oil is like plastic in my body was just what I needed to help me leave them alone. So, once again, I so appreciate your help and wisdom. > > I just learned last night that the home I am moving back into has developed mold. During a freeze last winter water pipes in the ceiling of the kitchen burst, and flooded. The water was turned off, the plumbing and ceiling fixed, but now, just as I am about to move back in (in 2 weeks), my friends who went in to clean says that there is mold on the walls behind the cabinets, and on some of the shelves. I think it is the green mold, but I haven't seen it myself. > > We've called a mold company to come in and get rid of it since I am very sensitive, but it dawned on me today that they company may use chemicals to get rid of the mold, and that might be worse. I didn't know if there is a type of company or product to use that would take care of it without leading to any other concerns. > > Can you advise me on this? According to the company the mold has to be taken care of then the boards and dry wall will have to be replaced. Any of ideas would be of help. +++Hi , There are companies that do not use toxic chemicals to get rid of mold. Also a friend or family member who isn't sensitive to molds can clean it for you, using 3% hydrogen peroxide. Here's the instructions, but I think it is too strong to use full strength, and it isn't necessary. Instead dilute it by using 1/3rd H202 and 2/3rd water in a spray bottled: http://www.ehow.com/how_4868667_clean-house-mold-peroxide.html Other substances that are safe to use for mold are white vinegar and baking soda - look up recipes for them on the internet.
