Guest guest
I would say that recovery is best in areas like Banff where the air is so cold and clear and in areas like Maui, provided you do not also have problems with pollen etc. In places that we visit where there is less industrialization and preservatives and more clean air, I tend to function the best. Guest guest
I carry Lobelia inflata tincture in my purse as well as in Charlie's crisis kit. I've known about the use of Lobelia to stop seizures for many years (I do have some background in herbs) but did not use it until it was evident that diazepam was becoming an ineffective method of stopping his gran mal seizures. Charlie has a history of status epilepticus. We go to significant lengths to prevent seizures and stop then immediately when possible. Again, a few drops under the tongue (sublingual) and another few drops rubbed into C1 and C2 (the top two vertebrae at the base of the brain). He gets Lobelia inflata extract/tincture for NO other reason. Lobelia inflata is our first line of defense in dealing with seizure activity. I have even given it to him in the hospital and the emergency room as we prefer to minimize pharmaceutical use. Lobelia inflata has not been successful in helping break my bond with tobacco, however.... but good for you! Some day, when you have nothing else to do....... begin to read some dispensatories and old pharmacopeias from about a century ago. Also read Ellington. Hope this helps mjh In a message dated 1/19/2005 4:08:10 AM Eastern Standard Time, writes: Date: Tue, 18 Jan 2005 11:05:24 EST From: sarahbri813@... Subject: Re: Digest Number 1730-Charlies mom WOW.... I was at the vitamin store about two weeks ago, and picked up some lobelia inflata, as a supplement to help me quit smoking. (That what the store said it was used for.) So, when I came home I went on the net to get some info about it, before I started taking it, and noticed it is used for seizures to! I have been debating wether or not to give some to a. It definetly helped me quit smoking (2 weeks no cigarette....yeah me!) And it be wonderful if it can make the seizures quit to!!! Can you tell me how you use it, and how often? What made you try it? And how often does it work? THANKS!!! (a, 8, LGS) Now, we use a few drops of Lobelia inflata extract under his tongue and a few more rubbed on the back of his neck to stop seizures and if that does not work, we continue on to administer DIazepam rectally and Ativan sublingually. mjh http://foxhillfarm.us/FireBasil/

Dear Laurie, Please note that for some of us fatigue is a way of life, and trying to keep things simple is a coping mechanism. Having to sift thru auto generated replies to get to useful information consumes energy. Is it possible you could make another change to stop this from happening? I realize you may not be aware it is. Tx in advance for your cooperation.
