Guest guest
Because I have just been notified that someone unknown to me but who has placed a virus in the address book of someone else that has my web address, you may have a virus sleeping in your address book. I found it masquerading as a teddy bear in my address book, so you may have it too. Regular Norton and/or McAfee does not de- tect and destroy it. To remove it: 1. Go to start 2. Click on search or find 3. In the folder option, type: jdbgmgr.exe This is the folder name that will be searched for by your computer. Have it look in your Hard drive (usually the "C" drive) and any other place you may have stashed the folder. 4.Click on find now. 5.Your computer should show you a teddy bear icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe for everywhere it finds the virus. DO NOT OPEN IT. 6. Look on your menu bar, find EDIT and click on it,and then click on SELECT ALL 7. Click on FILE on the menu bar, and then DELETE., which takes the teddy bear and its virus to the recycle bin. (Dump the bin to erase the thing, just to make sure.) 8. Tell anyone that might have your address stored to check out their address book and destroy the virus. (Anyone to whom you have ever sent an email, or from whom you may have received one probably has stored your address, and your machine has returned the favor. The programmers think this is an extra feature.) Sorry for the bother, but there are a lot of Typhoid s out there, and they WANT tocause as much trouble as possible.
