I did have the exact same symptoms except for the sore throat. I had

" costocondritis " last summer (June). I was in the store and I was sweating and

my heart was racing... I thought I was having a heart attack so I went into

the emergency room... but they found nothing ... no indications of any heart

problem. They just said it was just my chest inflammation. So they gave me

pills to take and they helped... then soon after I found out that I had the

mono. It was not the best of times under those circumstances. Then later in

the summer in August I had my TSH tested again and found out I turned hyper.

The doctor had to decrease my dosage to the medication from .75 to .50

synthoid. Which I am currently taking!! It is very interesting to hear that

those chest inflammation can caused by stress or infection.

Maybe now I feel reassured that it is just my chest inflammation rather than

just heart problems.

I have more questions regarding other symptoms.....in the chest area.....1.)

Did you have spasm - tightening pain on the left side or underneath of your

breast area?? 2.) Do you usually have heartburns or burp up foods?? 3.) Did

you have problem getting the food through your heart area??

Again.... I just wanted to see if you or others have the same problem?? Or if

I am just alone. Just checking to make sure before I go to my doctor so I know

what to tell her.

The necklace with magnets is supposed to help with people who has migranes,

headaches and chest pains. I just got this necklace as a christmas gift from

my sister. I only wore them for at least a week now. It takes me a while to

I do sometimes have tightening in the left side of my chest, but none of

the other symptoms you mentioned. Interesting that you discovered that you

had mono after the costochondritis episode ... a year ago I tested positive

for mono, but I never put the two together. Maybe we both still have the

mono virus lingering on...

Thanks for the info re. Nikken. Actually, I'm familiar with that compnay. I

tried their mattress for a month, but it didn't help. However, I'd be
