Guest guest
, I am in the 1percent of the population that seems to be very allergic to iodine and it has been the problem in the reactions to toothpaste etc. I went to the emergency room after taking one kelp tablet. My BP went up and I could not breathe. I might be on a different spectrum than the rest of you due to the irradiation of my thymus gland as an infant six times, that was for SIDS treatment of course, a big mistake on the doctor's part back in the 1950's, I am now 43 years old. My personal thoughts on this are that iodine is a tracer used in the body with radiation now in different diag. tests; so, if I still have the radiation in my body since receiving between 200-400 rads per treatment, (6T's) iodine could be a big problem for me and my thyriod being that tracer element overloading my system, or magnifying the strenght of the iodine in my system thus, an allergic response or possibly radiaiton posioning. I have found some material on the internet concerning these treatments and the outlook for those adults has not been poetry... Next thought, what about a new product out called Colestrum? It is suppose to balance your immune system be it too active or underactive. It is the first fluid that makes up the mother's milk coming from a cow that has been pasture fed with no hormones involved. Note that many medical research labs seem to be testing it right now. Perhaps it has the right mix of antibodies, mine are always aroung 81 which is an indication for Graves Disease present. , I think when I went off the Tapazole after 7 months of it the flood gates were opened and the iodine went wild making thyriod storms for 6 weeks. I lost 20 pounds in 3 weeks and could not eat, everything tasted like salt to the point of choking me. I was afraid to be left alone and stayed at my mother's house for 4 weeks! I am avoiding iodine because I think it brought on my Graves Disease etc. Much to think about.
