,

Thank you so much for all your info. So I guess I should be happy I am

sweating. In fact I kind of am -- it has been years since I have done any.

Also would a normal FLEET enema be considered a cleanse?

Now for Doctors:

I feel 100% as you do. They are almost ALL lousy. After all what is a

medical degree? A very smart person who takes tests well happens to be

interested in science and medicine. He goes to college and majors in his

interest and viola out he comes " GOD " !??? I don't think so. I think now

with the advent of the computer more and more people are able to learn just

as much as a doctor and probably even more than some. Look at , he is

truly a scientist and quite knowledgeable about Thyroid conditions and

Alternative Healing.

I have lost count to see how many doctor's I have had in the last 10

years. They have told me I could have anything from Depression to Epilepsy

to Lupus! I get tested once it is a maybe I get tested again and it is a, no

sorry that isn't it! The only thing I am sure I have is Hypothyroid!

My latest doctor laughed and said I probably have post traumatic stress

from going to doctors and getting all sorts or meds and diagnosis. Then he

wanted to know if they considered me " flaky " (meaning a hypochondriac)

because I had so many different symptoms?

Needless to say I am reluctant to go back to him. However, he is giving me

Phentermine (diet pill) that has decreased my appetite but has not cause any

weight loss. I asked him for a diet and he said he didn't have anymore.

Sheesh.

I just know I LOATHE being sick and want to just be able to walk without a

painful limp. The walking will aid my weight loss and it is what has been

hindering my progress for at least a year. I am back to these supplements

big-time. I slacked off there for a while.

Sometimes I feel better and then a " new " symptom shows up! I wonder if

that is an adjustment period or our body's way of releasing these toxins

etc....?

Hi Kathleen:

Thanks for your reply. Yes, sweating does release toxins, but be sure that

you are replacing yourself with water. Where do you sweat mostly? I had a

problem where I sweat profusely under my arm pits. I started taking 50 mg

of

B complex and the sweating went away. Weird, hmmmm maybe that is why I have

the sensations of my eyes because of the B Complex. Maybe it is too much for

my system. However, it has practically given me my life back. I was so

awfully anemic from lots of blood loss and my hysterectomy. I could not make

it to the top of the stairs without feeling like I was going to collapse.

That is better now.

Anyway, sorry for the rambling, yes you loose toxins which is excellent

cause

we who have thyroid problems surely have a buiild up of them. OK, there are

different ways to cleanse depending on where you want to cleanse. There are

colon cleanses, gallbladder cleanses and other ways to not necessarily

cleanse, but retain good bacteria by taking acidolphilus. Oh a coffee enema

is suppose to be good too.

Take care.

Hi Kathleen;

You sure said all that I could think of regarding doctors. That is why I

asked if anyone had any good doctor jokes. We talk and joke so much about

lawyers, but nothing about doctors. I am really fed up on their attitude

problems. If anyone needs a shrink or has anxiety issues, it is most likely

they who do. I have been to many doctors myself with medical records heaping

up to 500 pages worth. This is all since November 96. I have run the wheel

just as you and others in this group and out of the group has done. I always

thought it was the male doctors who were bad. Yes, they are, but many of the

female doctors are programmed just as the male doctors are. There is an old

boys and girls club and I have been through some horrific times because of

many of their attitudes. How would you like to be told that your thyroid

will not be operated on until you get psychiatric help? I had that happen to

me over a year ago when my goiter was the size of two golf balls on just the

right lobe only. I left that doctor with mental thoughts that should not be

written on this board. I have been beaten down emotionally with doctors. The

only ones that have been pretty good are my gyn, cardiologist and my GP until

just recently when he no longer knew what to do. He tried and ran many tests,

but he was at a roadblock. I changed to an internal medicine practioner and I

am not sure what to think of this either.

Many of you may have HMO's as I do and have finally realized the politics and

so called ignorance to the patients problems. I am so fearful that while we

are advancing in medicine by leaps and bounds, our doctors are not making

use of all the possible diagnostic tools to help with known problems or rare

disorders. I am one of the founders of the pheochromocytoma bulletin board on

this AOL internet. None of you would believe the horror stories that people

suffering with this dangerous disorder have to deal with in regards to their

physicians, testing, communications and etc. Hypethyroidism and

hypothyroidism are also dangerous diseases and none of us should have to play

games with the doctors by being our own doctor and bringing new information

in to enable them to make a diagnosis. Hell, they are making bucks and I have

been out of the work force for 2.7 years making nothing from my own toil.

They should be running necessary tests to diagnose and unfold our illness and

move toward proper treatment so that we all get back on the road to recovery.

I don't believe many of them have one darn clue to what is going on nor do

they give a rats patutie about our welfare only their checks. I am very sorry

for the tangent, but their seems to be a trigger that gets me going and I

hate it.

Kathleen, fleets enema are used more for cleaning out your bowel before

surgery or constipation which is not relieved by oral remedies. You may want

to try a lemon enema or coffee enema. This helps with toxins. However, I am

not sure at this moment how much you use. I will research this for you and

get back later today with an answer.

Yes, I must agree that puts his heart into helping. I think he would be

an excellent alternative practioner. , have you considered this for

retirement activity? LOL Anyway, really works hard and tries to help

each of us. He realizes that results will vary accordingly, but is eager to

try something else when what he has suggested does not work. Yes, our hats go

off to you .

Dr n Whittaker is suppose to be a good doctor and alternative

practioner. He is in the Los Angeles area I think or San Diego. At least we

have one well known MD like that. We had Dr Saynert here in Minnesota and he

retired a couple of years ago, but the medical board closed him down too.

Don't know how it all fits, but he was an MD and was helping through

alternative means. Many people were being helped and one day he did not have

a practice. I think the board did a plea bargain thing where he would retire

in lieu of getting his license revoked, in other words mandatory retirement

or get canned. It is so sad how our MD profession are hostile to the good

being done on the alternative side. However, just think what would happen to

the pharmacuetical companies and other beaureacrats if alternative really

swept our nation with a storm? Ah, they would be out of business. Too much

money would be lost and money is the main and the gain in our sad society

today.

Thank you for listening to me Kathleen and all.

Take care.

Hello !

Speaking of alternative doctors being put out of business, in Washington State,

there is a Dr. V. who started out in medicine as a regular

medical doctor and had been on-staff of one of our Nation's very large hospital

complexes and worked in their emergency room. I can't recall, just now, how he

got turned towards alternative healing, but he has a very large practice just

south of Seattle.

I know about this first hand because we lived in a neighboring city to where the

good doctor practiced. The following event was headline news for a long time.

About 10 years or so ago, a SWAT team from the FDA invaded his office with drawn

automatic weapons frightening the patients, the good doctor, his medical staff

and the office staff. They held them all at gun point, and held all the staff

and the doctor for over 30 minutes while they collected all the medical records

and took all the contents of the garbage bin out back. Further, the patients

were escorted from their appointments by armed guards. The Doctor couldn't

continue in business as all the medical records had been confiscated.

The reason they invaded his office??? A vial of vitamin B-6 was found in the

garbage and that vial had a mold growing in it. Dr. maintained that was

the reason it was in the garbage in the first place. Further, he contended,

that

if anyone were to check - even at the hospital where he once worked they would

likely find the same type of garbage. They also accused him of importing,

illegally, substances from foreign countries for injections.

Dr. sued for return of his medical records and finally got them back. He

continued in practice for the duration of the legal entanglement. He sued the

government and the FDA in particular. And WON!!! Yet, the legal aspects of

this

case dragged out for years and cost him a king's ransom in the process.

Just before this horrible event, Dr. had published a book. It's called

Dr. 's Guide to Healing with Nutrition, and is published by Keats

Publishing, Inc., of New Canaan, Connecticut. My edition was printed in 1984.

There surely should be updated versions published by now.

At one time I called to get an appointment with the good doctor. There was a 3

month waiting list before I could get in. I never pursued it further.

Thought you'd like to know.

Hello,

These drug companies OWN the government and the FDA and now they are

pushing drugs through faster than ever and not knowing what the side affects

really are, they don't know what hormone replacement drugs do in the far

future they don't know!!!

When people step out of line they want it to stop at all cost and you

thought I was kidding about the doctors having someone telling them what

to do your crazy or they tell you your crazy. Its all messed up this is

not what our fore fathers wanted I'm sure of that.

Why would anybody in there right mind not take a natural remedy and

would they tell others it worked I think so. Its all a money issue and

it hurts people!

This is scary Raven

What a story!!!! Not too much surprises me anymore. Those poor MD

narturopaths are really under fire with their non medicated anti mainastream

way of thinking. Gaaaadsssss. However, I would rather suffer the way he did

to help others than to suffer for being a criminal. At least he knew he was

doing good for and to others. That would make it all the worthwhile. Poor guy

though.

Thanks for sharing that. We can all see that people who are genuinely out to

helo others will suffer from those who are just looking for many bucks.

Yep that sorts out the good from the bad doesn't it? Most MD's would not

stand up under such scrutiny and become stronger for it. Takes alot of

character to go through that turmoil and come out stronger yet. Way to go for

him!!!!!!

Hello !

I agree. This doctor maintained a a dignity about him the entire time. He

didn't rant and rave like so many other 'wronged' people do when we see them on

TV. He really earned my respect.
