Guest guest
Suggestion: how about e-mailing privately on such non-HyperT messages? Thanks. I have used bori acid mixed with a bit of water and swabbed that area thoroughly. Worked beautifully. This advice from my naturopath. Guest guest
Re request to e-mail privately re women's health: Sorry if you don't want to read these messages. I understand--that's why we decided earlier on on this board to label such matters off-topic. Most thyroid sufferers are women, and many of us share common health problems. If we want the benefit of each others' collective wisdom, we have to address the board. Again, no one has to read anything off topic, which is clearly marked. Also, it is not so far off topic--we are discussing health problems and natural solutions, much of which might be related to our thyroid conditions. I hope I have correctly understood and addressed your concerns. AntJoan
Guest guest
While this thread may not be of particular interest to you, it has generated a rather wide response from a number of participants; hence privately emailing would have inhibited this interchange. The agreed-on method that this group complies with is to label non-thyroid issues " OT " - giving you the option of simply hitting the delete key. I have found this group to be very considerate of that convention and not apt to wander off into nonmedical or non-relevant chit chat that so many other boards dissolve into. has been very generous about this, as list owner. Guest guest
Thank you, from all of the beginners, I am learning alot by reading everyones E-mails. After 30 years of this, I figure I have 15 or 20 left and would like some quality of life out of all this. Thanks again, Ginny
Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I just ran into some information that indicated that zinc was very beneficial for yeast infections like candida. If zinc is beneficial then probably selenium would be too. What I'm wondering is whether there is a correlation between prevalence of yeast infections and the type of thyroid disease. My guess would be that hypos would be more likely to get candida and yeast infections and hypers not so likely. Is it this way?
Guest guest
, I've found that there are some alternative docs who believe chronic candida is actually caused by hypothyroidism, or that hypothyroidism occurs after the immune system becomes defective from chronic candida...which is true I don't know, maybe both apply, but anecodotally, there seems to be higher incidence of candida problems and other allergic sensitivities with hypothyroidism. I wrote a piece about my own battle with this at http://thyroid.about.com/library/weekly/aa071497.htm BU007@... wrote: > > Hi Everyone, > I just ran into some information that indicated that zinc was very > beneficial for yeast infections like candida. Guest guest
Dear , I have yeast infections, and I was hyperT. I wonder if there is a connection between thyroid and yeast? AntJoan
Guest guest
, this is Sheri Lynn and I have a hypersensitivity to yeast. I have the Hypo symptoms going on now instead of the Graves. I feel that now I am getting balanced out with the 12.5 mcg of thyroid hormone, I am getting stronger I can see it in my eyes of all places; brighter looking. Also, the estrogen is important in this aspect too; my is up to 84 and that is better for me and helps the skin and the panic attacks. Infections might attach to thyroid tissue and be attacked by the immune system. Just a thought. Ann
