how we feel despite results of blood tests

Hi,

here is my .02cents worth:

this is purely a theory of mine. Graves Disease hold a mixture of hypo

and hyper syptoms.

I was fairly sure that i was going hypo, i was feeling tired and run

down and putting on heaps of weight.

But i still had the hungry cravings for food.

My tests have come back. T4 is reading in the low end of hyper (6.9)

I think that our body being depleted and weak in the autoimmune area,

will take a long while to right itself.

If the tests had been better for me, say 6.5 which is normal, thats not

much of a difference to what the test did say.

But how come i feel lousy.

I look at it another way, if we were in the midst of a cold or flue, and

after the initial 10 days with symptoms clearing

up why do they say to take it easy and not to over do things. Even

though we are symptom free of the cold or flu

our body is still weak and needs to build up, healthy cells dont happen

over night.

Having thyroid disorders is a pretty serious thing and cannot be

compared to a cold or flu however, the immune system

is the same one that is undergoing the changes. What it feels for a

cold or flue is minor compared to thyroid disorders.

So, if one were to exert themselves after cold/flue situation, your body

will tell you its not strong enough, you will feel

weak, and even possibly succumb back to the cold/flu strain. Ever heard

of catching the cold/flu again after just having

it or it taking a very long time to shake off?

I believe after each change the body is subjected to, it takes a good 3

months to renew those cells.

So if the blood tests indicated normalacy for the thyroid scan, the

immune system has still to learn not to attack itself.

Thats my belief, that the auto-immune system will still disfunction for

a while.

Just my 2cents.

Ersilia
