Hi Tim,

Sorry about your exposure to mold. It does do some terrible things.

I was exposed over 3 years ago and have gradually gotten better. I'm

now having some muscular problems with my knees and legs though. Will

be taking more tests this week.

Sporonox is a potent med. From what I've read, Minocin (Lederle brand

of low-dose doxycycline) is the drug of choice to treat the

mycotoxins. I haven't started a course of it yet, but probably will

this week. My liver had been affected, so I was afraid to go on any

drugs. Milk thistle cleared up the liver. I continue to take that.

There was an excellent very long post on the list just last week about

a lawyer who was affected by mold. Try to find that in the archives. I

don't remember who sent it in, but I think that the lawyer's last name

was Brandt if you want to try that in a search.

My best to you in returning to complete health.

God Bless,

Pat

Sporanax is strong. I tried Nystatin and my body fought back so hard I ended up in the hospital.

You have no reactions to the Sporanax? I have been sick for a year and a half. I am a 39 year old single mom.

God Bless,

Janet

Not a doctor but please get off the sporonox ASAP. Sorry been a while

but do a search on sporonox and lawsuits and liver. When you are sick

you do not want to do any more harm to your body.

Attorneys and air sample company both said very negative things about

him. I mentioned his name and one attorney said the firm would not

even take the case if I was seeing him.

Do a search with my name in toxic mold survivors and mold-survivor

and there should be some diet/supplement information which you can

research for yourself.

Hope this helps.

May I ask what everyone thinks of a lisenced MD kinesiologist who thinks she can help me get my body back in balance,it just wont be an easy road???She was recommended by someone who went to her for MCS. He has to be carefull for triggers but is back to work after three years on disability.

Thanks,

Janet

Kathie,

Thank you for replying. You have given me some hope!! I called and left a message on her answering machine. My mold was at work 5 feet up the walls though, not here in my apartment and I havent been to work in 6 months. But I keep getting worse. Every time I run into mold outside, on a wet towel, even mildew smell, I react stronger and stronger.

This sounded hopeful, and I wanted an opinion. Thank you very much.

Where in Truckee? Not down on West river street by the

old Star Hotel? It's a funky old place. Very Historic.

I know of a bunch of places that knock me flat in Truckee.

I know a gal up there who is living in a trailer at the opposite end

of her property from her moldy house. I told her that was dangerous

since you can drag in enough spores to make the trailer unlivable, not

to mention the wind direction can spore plume her right out of there.

It was good to find other people in the area suffering from my problem

since my family never believed a word I said until they heard it from

someone else. Kind of painful since I have always taken pride in my

credibility. I asked them " Since when have you considered me a liar? "

and they said they thought I had just been mistaken.

There's no mistaking this problem. As Joe Klein says, people think

that mold is more of an inconvenience than a substance straight from

hell.

, It sounds like you are in Placer County. It seems we have very similiar professions in the same areas. I'm in Foresthill. Please give me an email directly to moldtesting@... and maybe we can talk! Thanks.

Ari,

I know how hard it is as we all do to some degree . I as well have CFS, toxic mold illness severely and MCS. Mowing lawns and cooking smells even send me.It is very difficult to get across to people. My neighbors dont even get it. One said, why the hell do you need all those air cleaners? I then asked her if she has ever almost died from an asthma attack.

Last week the ER doctor who treated an asthma attack sent me to another pulminiologist. He looked at me like I had two heads, said mold cannot get into your body and come back if your asthma gets out of control. I left in tears at yet another rejection and someone thinking I am crazy.

I wish you well as well as all on here. Everyone is in my prayers. We need as much as we can get. If you told me two years ago I would be housebound, asthmatic and allergic to everything and need 5 hepa filters in here, I would have laughed. I have stopped laughing. The picture below says all.
