Post: Undercurrents of Fungal Toxicology

Greg Weatherman on 7/21/03

To any interested parties,Mold is becoming a big subject as far as conferences for

toxicology and medicine go. The American Academy of

Environmental Medicine will hold thier annual meeting in

October in Phoenix AZ. Our good friend, Dr. Lipsey, will

be giving a presentation on the toxicolgy of mold. I guess

there are some doctors interested in pursuing science

rather than HMO welfare. In the foreign arena, China (the perfect society that

never has problems according to their press......) is

holding the 5th International Congress of Toxicology in

Guilin, Beijing and Shanghai, China from November 6 through

November 17 of this year. Again, Dr. Lipsey was invited

to speak at this international conference. Dr. Gray is also going to China on this trip. I just wonder if China is doing this conference to show our

best public health and toxicology people that they have

attacked the SARS virus situation. The amazing thing is both conferences could have asked

anyone to speak. They chose Dr.Lipsey. It is a shame we no

longer get his input on the Toxboard anymore. Maybe, if

the dogs are muzzled, he might give us a report when he is

done. Maybe someone can go to one of these conferences to

hear what he has to say. That person can then give us a

report.
