Hello everybody,

I was just wondering if there is anybody in this group who was diagnosed with

hyperthyroidism after being on antidepressants. I my case, I was taking Prozac

for 5 months when suddenly I had the symptoms of hyperthyroidism (hand tremors,

anxiety, nervousnesss, palpitations, high blood pressure, etc.) My psychiatrist

then told me to see a neurologist and the neurologist told me to see an

endocrinologist because he said there's nothing wrong with me, neurologically

speaking. The endocrinologist right away diagnosed me with hyperthyroidism.

Does anybody in this group have the same experience? I am convinced that Prozac

caused my hyperthyroidism but my endo thinks that I have had subclinical

hyperthyroidism and it so happened that my hyperthyroidism developed at the same

time as I was taking Prozac.
