Guest guest
I am not sure who posted this. I have as a nurse believed this theory for over 20 years but two years of using burdock everytime I begin cold symptoms that have never turned out to be a cold, has convinced me that there is a cure for the common cold they are called herbal blood cleansers. They are antibacterial and antiviral. It really doesn't matter how many different kind of viruses are flying around, herbs work different than antibiotics. I have usually caught everything anyone around me has and so I usually get stomach flus and colds about 2-4x a year. I have had none since I've learned to make a strong decoction of burdock, drink it once an hour as soon as symptoms start (I even do it when I'm exposed to stuff I don't want to get). I presently am fighting strep throat ( a strong bacterial infection) and this combo didn't work as effectively on me for this, I am back and forth with fevers and sore throat, but my daughter who had the symptoms 8 hours earlier than me has recovered without any relapse and 2 days earlier. I also had quite a sore throat and fever, before I remembered the burdock. The only difference was that I added boneset (similar to echinachea) to her regime. After reading the article on echinachea, I will add this to my regime and expect a full recovery in a few days. Studies show that Echinachea has can reduce the time a cold hangs on by 2 days. I saw evidence of this in my daughter's case. Echinachea doesn't cure, but one of the most common weeds known to man (the one that gives you all those big round burrs when you walk though the woods)-Burdock does! There has been a cure for the common cold since the earth was made, it's just that medical science has been looking in the wrong place. Convinced differently, Le Ann

Sort of true. The burdock doesn't cure the cold, your body cures the cold. The burdock helps the body to prepare its own immune systems. Herbs can be great facilitators in helping the body do what it needs to do. Me.
