Guest guest
Dear Listmates, We were in Las Vegas October 03 for a meeting. We stayed at the Paris Hotel. The rooms there are MOLDY! Found out that they shampoo the carpets DAILY. There is padding under the carpets. There is no way to dry them adequately as it is a huge hotel and the windows don't open very far. So they shampoo the carpet, the doors close automatically and leave the windows closed with the air conditioning off. A perfect recipe for mold. The Paris Hotel is owned by a consortium called Park Place and I believe they own four other top-of-the-line hotels in Vegas. It would be a good idea to call ahead and find out if this procedure is followed at all of their hotels. Even a good hepa filter brought with you cannot cure the problem - traveler beware! Guest guest
Ok, Paris is part of BVallys. Now, I have the RIo TRAINED to accommodate MCS people. Ask for the risk manager Dennis Lindenbach, tell him Angel sent you and you need accommodations. The hotel manager was given a set of protocols to my specificiations and they are even set up to place hepa filters in restuarants and showrooms. Dennis has set p the filters with a 2-3 day window to set things up. Also, the buffet has been given orders, to seat those with MCS away from people and also you don't need to stand in the general admission line. The following hotels you want to avoid: MIRAGE MGM TREASURE ISLAND CESARS MANDALAY BAY EXCALIBUR CIRCUS CIRCUS MONTE CARLO FOUR SEASONS RIVERIA NY NY LUXOR BELLAGIO GOLDEN NUGGET They are INTENTIONALLY pumping in aromtherapy crap that is poor quality and anyone with MCS will get violently sick! Not even their showrooms are safe. IF you eont' like the idea of your throat closing up, head pounding, then call their risk managers and let them know they are causing a ADA issue, as asthmatics are disabled and the crap they are using is a repsiratory irritant. Don't let them tell you its a SMALL AMOUNT that you won't notice...you know the drill. Guest guest
HEPA filters can hold moisture which actually breeds mold and releases it back into the room. ----- Original Message ----- From: a Carnes Sent: Sunday, February 08, 2004 6:58 PM Subject: Re: []/ Warning about Las Vegas Well, I always thought their little Eiffel Tower was a joke anyway. aDear Listmates, We were in Las Vegas October 03 for a meeting.
